With offices in Amsterdam and Abu Dhabi, the employer is a recruitment and consulting organisation that provides services to the global nuclear energy sector. Our business is expanding significantly and we are looking for a new sales and business development consultant to join our team. Currently our clients are mainly in Europe and the Middle East, with increasing opportunities in Asia, North & South America. We have developed relationships with some of the largest companies in the nuclear energy sector and we plan to open more offices in other continents within the coming years. The purpose of this role is to build and manage relationships with clients and job seekers in the nuclear industry in France, identify their recruitment needs and search and qualify candidates to fulfill these needs. At times the role is client driven – identifying and qualifying candidates for a specific client need. At other times the role is candidate driven, approaching potential clients with profiles of candidates and offering their services. The role is centred around business development in combination with analysis of industry trends and client needs. Another major part of the role is advising candidates on the opportunities that exist internationally and then accessing these opportunities for them.
The majority of the work is office based, in Amsterdam, with up to 10-20% international travel to France for meetings and conferences.
- Build and manage relationships with new and existing clients (office based with 1-2 international trips per month for meetings or conferences)
- Identifying and qualifying recruitment needs of clients, qualifying candidates to propose to clients, management of the interview process and negotiation of commercial and contractual terms.
Working with our compliance advisors to ensure that clients and candidates receive the correct professional advice relating to international relocation.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and joint working ventures in order to win new business.
Account Management – regular meetings and communication with existing clients and candidates on assignment. This includes identification of account growth and new business opportunities
A minimum of 2 years experience in business development and/or consulting in a business to business environment
You must speak and write business level French and English
A proven track record of success in developing and managing client relationships, ideally in the provision of services
The ability to understand technical concepts and gain the trust and respect of experts in technical fields
A strong interest in working across different countries and the ability to understand cultural difference
Experience working in the energy sector, particularly in nuclear energy
Minimum of Bachelors degree level of qualification in either a business related field or in a science or engineering related field.
