 Job purpose

Summary

Implementing projects aimed to increase quality and efficiency of medical microbiology laboratories, using to pre-defined project goals referring to technical, human and process related aspects.

Key duties /responsibilities

Tasks:

  • Testing: Integrated testing of assembled systems (preFAT).
  • Preparation of Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT) Protocol
  • Project and Change Management (UmbrellA)
  • Informatics management (LIS interfaces)
  • Workflow management (LEAN/Six Sigma compatible). Advising
  • Customers on process, human and technical efficiency improvements
  • Application Specialist; Configuration management and training
  • Issue management (Project issues)
  • Supporting and reporting Project Manager(s)

Company interaction

  • Consulting and communication with (internal) customer’s management,users and other employees (IT, Estates, …)

Substituted by / substitutes

  • Substituted by LAS Team leader
  • Substitutes Project engineer and Project Manager as contact person for the customer

Conditions of work

  • Approx. 50% of the time travelling within Europe
  • Working in microbiology laboratories

Working and thinking level/Experience

  • High School or University level

Educational requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with project management (e.g.Prince2 Foundations), Lean and Change Management
  • Knowledge of medical microbiology lab processes
  • Knowledge of IT, mechatronics and machine controls on (minimally)configuration level
  • Fluent French & English language in speech and writing

 Other duties

The level of independence required is on the nature of the project, the and responsibilities level of the skills and the amount of experience. Duties have to be carried out independently with support and supervision of a Project Manager if required.
