2118 – Business analyst – Banking


The Business Analyst is responsible for the day to day cash-to-bank activities, providing support to stores in matters related to cash collections, cards processing and other retail payments, ensuring a smooth transition of cash to bank. The Business Analyst Banking will also support the business in managing expenses and bad debt related to the Banking area as well as providing support to stores and distribution partners for the gift card area.



  • Manage operations related to cash-to-bank activities, payment methods and bad debt for assigned regions.
  • Support stores in retail payments related matters
  • Coordinate Banking services for store opening/closings
  • Maintain relations with internal and external customers, including contract procurement, service level agreements, and day-to-day operational communications
  • Support Field and Accounting teams in store audits and investigations
  • Support stores, the operations team, distributor and end consumers with gift card related queries



  • Provide support for a timely, accurate reconciliation of cash accounts
  • Manage the reconciliation of 3rd party vouchers for the designated business areas. Identify and implement new processes with positive impact in controls, costs and workload
  • Manage of expenses related to the Banking areas, deviations vs. forecast, provide initiatives that result in cost reductions and coordinate resolution of accounting errors
  • Prepare monthly accruals and journal entries in the General Ledger. Provide support in the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Auditing and approval of banking related invoices
  • Manage the A/R for gift cards in the relevant area


  • Bachelor in Finance / Accounting with at least 2 years of relevant work experience preferably in a multi-national Company
  • Advanced-level spreadsheet skills (PIVOT, VLOOKUP, SUMIF). Able to analyse data to understand story behind the numbers
  • Fluent written and verbal English and French
  • Clear and effective communication skills
