JOB DESCRIPTION
Our customer, a growing telecoms company is looking for a talented and experienced Account Director, a full time permanent position, further developing the European Sales team. Located in London, UK or in Amsterdam, NL.
The successful candidate will join a well-established team of highly skilled hunters, supported by the extended team, focused on delivering a first class, unparalleled customer experience.
We need an innovative and highly motivated individual with strong knowledge and proven track record of sales into the European mobile operators and Eastern European Carriers and ISP’s. Experience and contacts in the Middle East and Africa are also an advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS
Principal Responsibilities
Demonstrated New Business Acquisition
Experience (at least 5 years) in telecoms sales of IP TRANSIT & TRANSPORT, in the UK & European market space.
Hunter mentality
Proven track record exceeding revenue goals
Exceptional account management and contract negotiations skills required.
Experience in consultative sales techniques and account planning: Account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range account management strategies.
Proven ability to manage and motivate successful, solution oriented sales teams or third party agents
Key competencies
Experience at being a strategic member of account management team who contributes significantly to growth and development of the business.
High energy level and demonstrated drive to succeed.
Employment of ethical business practices required.
Flexible individual capable of adapting in a high growth dynamic environment.
Strong personal leadership skills, including planning, goal setting, resource allocation, objectives negotiation, team management techniques and group problem solving.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Develop and implements specific programs and account strategies consistent with the economic trends and environmental factors to position strategic products, strengthen competitive position, ensure client satisfaction, and meet/exceed revenue objectives.
Skills
Ability to work independently, as part of a team and to lead their own sales team
Self-motivated and driven with clearly defined personal and business goals
Excellent written and communication skills
Creative problem solving abilities
Solid understanding of Technical knowledge related to network and data design and specifically product knowledge of both Sonet/SDH & IP/Ethernet type services, and associated end user and carrier applications.
Experience working in a team environment.
A Full Clean Driving license.
Ability to work unrestricted in Ireland / UK and other jurisdictions.
