[:fr]The company has offices in the Netherlands, UK, Turkey, USA, and Brazil. From their office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, they serve the worldwide Pharmaceutical, Food and Crop Production & Sciences markets.

You would be part of the team focusing on the leading event/fair for the global pharmaceutical ingredients industry. Every year, over 65,000 buyers, manufacturers, suppliers and users attend this events in High Growth Markets worldwide to exchange ideas, form alliances and conduct business on an international scale. More than 2,800 exhibitors represent all aspects of the ingredients market including APIs, Fine chemicals, biopharmaceuticals, Excipients/formulation, intermediates, generic APIs, finished dosage, custom manufacturing and more. CPhI drives pharma ingredient markets in key regions with events in Japan, China, India, South America and Southeast Asia.


The Role

The client services executive is a core function within the sales team. It is an administrative role with aspects of customer service, along with marketing and conference support. The successful candidate will be working closely with all departments and will be responsible for:


  • The administration and archive of the contracted sales in the sales & client relation database (, ESOP) & floor plan coordination
  • Maintenance and updating of CRM systems i.e. sales database current exhibitors and potential exhibitors
  • Responsible for day to day communication with clients and general e-mail requests.
  • Coordination of the online exhibitor manual, catalogue data and lead generation tools
  • Management and preparation of sales onsite office at events, whilst creating and managing all onsite documentation
  • Responsible for following up on sponsorship items sold and ensuring fulfilment, both pre- / post-show and onsite at the events
  • Preparation and collection of data for management reporting
  • Creation of purchase orders
  • Co-ordination with other departments (marketing, conference, operations & finance)
  • Occasionally, support the wider portfolio team as a whole along with ad hoc duties given

Individual Qualities

  • Excellent communicator, team player, and a multi-tasker
  • Fluent in French (native speaker preferred, but business proficiency is a must) and English
  • Quick learner who is self sufficient and uses initiative
  • A self starter with a high level of enthusiasm and accuracy
  • Strengths in attention to detail and adhoc tasks
  • A exceptional organiser and able to work in a hectic environment
  • Flexible, creative
  • Highly self motivated with exceptional time management
  • Ability to deliver quality output on time
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and affinity with CRM systems
